Setting haters straight on Kelly's situation and my response if she does leave

You see it every day around the Internet, haters endlessly hoping that Kelly leaves.  I will save the rant on those idiots and break down some reality.  First of all I think its likely she is coming back.  Shes too young and WWE is offering her more money and probably a much reduced shedule to extend her contract.

One of two things is likely to happen.  Either she comes back for the Summerslam build or stays on break till her contract is up. Its unlikely they would release her because they really want her to come back and they are afraid she would jump ship to TNA.

If shes not back for Summerslam then its more of a reality shes not coming back or is waiting right up till her current contract is up to sign a new one to leverage as much money as possible, as well as get a longer vacation.

And I think she is legitimately exploring options just to see what is out there.  Thats no different than just about anyone in the business.  People like Hogan, Piper, Terry Funk, etc sought opportunities in Hollywood.  Who wouldn't?  If someone was offering you more money for less work its kind of a nobrainer.  Lets see, star in this movie for a bunch of money or be used like a workhorse for Vince McMahon.

And people such as Chris Jericho have continually taken breaks to do other stuff and came back.

I don't think there is many opportunities out there though.  I don't see her landing any big movie role.  As far as her own reality show her life isn't that exciting and shes not eccentric.  Her boyfriend is a hockey player most people don't know so I can't see any interest in their life as a couple.  So for the most part she would just get a spot on some reality show.  And usually they want someone under WWE contract so they promote it.  So if she ever officially left its going to make those harder to get.

Shes also not very business minded so I don't see her starting a business or something.

In a nutshell, the opportunities out there are not bigger than being one of the main faces of WWE.  Its just a matter of whether it takes 2 months for that to be apparent or longer.

She is rather unique because unlike other girls who have been in her situation she is just entering her prime and is a viable commodity as a top face. And is on good terms with the company.  Its unlikely her wrestling career is over given her value and only being 25.  So Internet marks, shes not going to be out of your hair.

WWE would be continually trying to get her back. In her they know they have a girl that has the look they want in a face diva, the popularity, the ability to wrestle a lot.

There also exists the likely possiblity that TNA would make an offer to her.  They can say you can work a really light schedule, give her merchandising, and set up a high level feud with Mickie James or a WWE girls vs Knockouts angle.  Thats what WWE doesen't want to happen.  The don't want to give their face of the division in her prime to the competition.

In conclusion I think she will be either back by Summerslam or willl take a longer break and be back with WWE or TNA down the road.

I'm glad you seem not to believe that if she leaves it's the end of the world anymore.

Well, let's face this fact, as well: TNA could NEVER offer Kelly as much money as the WWE!!!

As far as opprotunities outside of wrestling: don't completely rule acting roles out! Elijah Burke (aka "The Pope" Deangelo Dinero) landed a role as one of Bane's henchmen in the upcoming "The Dark Knight Rises", so anything's possible.

Lastly, if she goes to TNA, obviously she wouldn't be able to use the name "Kelly Kelly". It would be a little difficult to call her by another character name, unless she were to be called "Barbie" (as a take on the doll), and also considering the fact that that is her real name!!!

I think if she went to TNA she would spell her name Barbi if there was a trademark problem with Barbie.

Sure it would be awesome to be cast in some big movie but I dont think its likely to happen.
